In 1851, at the height of the British Empire, the first World Expo was held in London. During this event, the then-unknown Herend showcased its work, which caught Queen Victoria's eye. She purchased it for her table at Windsor Castle, leading to its naming as "Victoria." This marked the beginning of Herend's rise to fame.

Herend porcelain are made using highly skilled techniques by skilled artists based in Hungary. This plate is hand painted with Queen Victoria design and finished with gold.
